Flat South Texas terrain with fast caliche, soft sand, weathered gravel, some asphalt and rough 'Black Hill' sectors on oilfield backroads; wind is the main challenge.
Access
Organizer states riders share public county roads with traffic and there are no corner marshals on remote gravel sectors; a police officer directs traffic at the finish.

A first-year Atascosa and Wilson county gravel event from Kickstand Racing, based around the old Coughran townsite southeast of Pleasanton. Three routes of 31, 51 and 68 miles cover caliche, sand and rough oilfield backroads with little climbing. Wind does the heavy lifting. The long and mid routes have a competitive race option with prize money.

Routes and trail info are for planning only and may be out of date. Conditions change fast after rain. Never cross a low-water crossing with water flowing over it. Ride and run only where it's public and allowed; respect closed gates, private property and park rules. A line on a map is not permission to be somewhere. You go at your own risk. Spotted a problem?
