- Course crosses private ranches that the organizer arranged access to, so it is not fully public/pre-rideable; GPS navigation is required.
Capital City Racing's Frio River Valley gravel event out of Leakey. Riders choose 35 or 50 miles over caliche, dirt and quiet chipseal, with stretches across private ranches and some freshly built trail at the edge of town. Big tires or a mountain bike are advised, and a GPS device is needed for navigation. The finish includes a party at Rustic Frio.
